What is the easiest way to find out if a birth certificate refers to you?

Got a copy of what I assume to be my birth certificate but the surname is different and middle name is missing. All other particulars are correct apart from the surnames of my parents. What is the easiest way to find out if a birth certificate refers to you?
how old are you, if over 16 and don't want to talk to your so called mom and dad you can go to the the place where your birth was registered and ask them. or talk to your mom and dad. thats all you can do. good luck and hope you get the truth
The date of birth would be a big give away. What is the easiest way to find out if a birth certificate refers to you?
If the parent names are incorrect then there could be two reasons for this.

1 you have a birth certificate that is not yours

2 you were adopted

Ask your parents if they can explain the certificate to youWhat is the easiest way to find out if a birth certificate refers to you?
Ask your parents. Were you adopted, by any chance?
