Can a child with US birth certificate apply for US passport?

Hi,

A child is born in the US has the US birth certificate only. She has moved with her mother to Malaysia and now has Malaysian passport only.

She is now eight years only. She does not have the US passport now. She does has the US birth certificate.

Since this happened as she only a child of eight years, will she be able to apply and get back her citizenship and US passport once she is 18 years old with the right of birth with her US birth certificate.

Please advice. Any attory or judges advice will be very helpful. This is of very high importance.

Thanks.

Usually children can not apply for these things on their own and require a parent or guardian to accompany them to the application process.
Anyone born in the usa is an American. yes the child can get a pass port , but don't need one to come to american , he's a usa citizen.

yea, i guess he needs one to get back in.Can a child with US birth certificate apply for US passport?
Any person born in the US can get a US passport. The parent(s) should take her to the US Consulate to apply for one. She needs one to return to the US even as a child. This is the new rule. Every US citizen returning to the US from overseas is required to have a valid US passport. Can a child with US birth certificate apply for US passport?
You might want to check to see if the Malaysian government allows dual citizenship, since she has a Malaysian passport. Like wise with the US government.
