How do I obtain my birth certificate and social security card?

I live in Arkansas. I need both of them to get my permit/drivers license, but my mother lost both my ss card and birth certificate. Where do I go to get these things? Pleeeease please please help. :) Thanks.How do I obtain my birth certificate and social security card?
Both of mine were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. I had to contact my county of birth online and pay a fee to the clerk's office to get my birth certificate. Then I took it to the SSI office downtown and filed for a new SS card. It arrived about 2 weeks later.
If you can get to the county hall of records where you were born you should be able to get a copy of your birth certificate if not you may have to go to your state capital ,birth records dept.

If you have a social security office in town you can go there or post office and check there ,you may just have to make a phone callHow do I obtain my birth certificate and social security card?

contact the county that you were born in. they will tell you.
Go to obama website and ask him he got a real good fake birth certificate and his s.s card is real because of the false birth certificate.
