Ive lost my birth certificate and i need it for work, how do i go about getting a replacement? I live in Scotland.How can i get a replacement birth certificate?

Go to your local Town Hall and ask for the records department or department of births and deaths. This department will be able to supply you a copy, in Sheffield in England it is ￡7.50 and takes 3 days for a copy.
in america you can go to a court house with your social security card and a fee for it, and they'll make you a copy. but im not sure.

Scottland...ooohhh....don't know how things work over there. Health clinics usually have all of your data on record (at least that's how it is in the States...)
