My father passed away yesterday. I would like to obtain a copy of his birth certificate. There's no specific reason why I want to, I just want to. I know it's weird. I live in Michigan. Does anyone know if they will allow me to have it? |||You can try obtaining his birth certificate copy online. If you know all the details of his birth, then it will be much easier to get a copy of it.
Sorry for the loss and good luck on the birth certificate.|||. first of all is your mother still alive if so try to ask her for it if not do you have any thing that states that your their child. in order to get a copy of your dads birth records make sure that you are able to a copy of his death citigate long or short from. and that would hold the information about his date of birth. but most important thing is that you have your reg anal papers stating of who you are.you should have no problems. their mite be a site cost for a copy of it . as faire as i am aweare of their is no law unless your not their brith chlid or adopation its good to check it out.|||Sorry for your lost and may god bless you and all of his loved ones.
You probably can use his death certificate to get his birth certificate. Btw, it isn't weird to do such an act if your heart tells you to do so.
