You can only get a birth certificate in the county in which your sons were born. If they were born in South Carolina, you aren't going to get one in Florida.

You need to log on to the Florida Department of Health, print off the information page and sign it. Also include your $9 or $14 check (depending whether or not you need a certified copy or just a regular copy) and they will process your request. I did it for my two children and it only took a couple of days. Good Luck.

The county where they were born has the birth certificates, go to the web site, to the link for birth/death certificates. Hospital record is not sufficient for 99% of things requiring certificate.
