How do i change a birth certificate to these formats?

I have to attach a file to in order to send my birth certificate by email. All i did was scan it, save it to the computer and sent it. But i got a email back from the place i was sending it to that said it needed to be in format .BMP, .GIF, .JPG, .PDF, .PNG, or .TIF How do i change my birth certificate to that formate in microsoft word?How do i change a birth certificate to these formats?

I'm surprised the scan didn't produce one of those formats. Or did you copy it into a Word document and send that?



If so, try sending the original scanned image.



Also, if you used Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software on it to produce a Word document, don't. Just scan it in and send that file. Anybody who wants to see a birth certificate absolutely does NOT want there to be a chance it was "updated" by the sender.

How did a plain scan get into DOC format in the first place?



What operating system do you have and what scanning software? If you have a PC, chances are the easiest fix is to rescan in Irfanview, Save As JPG, and attach the JPG to your email.
