How to get a birth certificate in bangalore?

I was born in Bangalore.I need to produce my birth certificate for getting my passport. I have the birth certificate issued by the hospital in which i was born. But i need the birth certificate that is issued by the Registrar of births and deaths, BMP. I tried going to a couple of BBMP offices but it was of no use, they're just making me roam form one office to another.|||The hospital where the child is borne is supposed to get the birth registered .The certificate with the name of the child needs to be obtained from the registrar of births under the local area.Check with the hospital
