I have recently received a copy of my amended birth certificate. But there are three different sets of numbers. I know one of them is the state file number located on the top left and marked "State File Number". But there are two others: one in bold red letters on the bottom left and then another under the date issued that says: AFS: (and then 6 numbers). What do these different numbers mean? Thanks in advance. What are the different numbers on your birth certificate?
There are about 14,000 different styles of birth certificate in circulation in the US. There is no hope of answering your question without knowing what agency issued it. Even then, you may not get a good answer. What are the different numbers on your birth certificate?
