i lost my birth certificate so i was wondering how do i get it back.

do i call someone? website?

without my birth certificate i cant get my permit so if you can please answer.

Go to the court house where you reside and go to the clerk of courts office--they can help you there.Birth certificate!!?
Call the city hall where you were born in, they would have a file for it. Take about 2-4 weeks to get a replacement. Some states offer if you just fax ID's you can get it in the mail.Birth certificate!!?
If you were born in the USA, each State has a record of every birth and can supply you with a certified copy as good as the original.



You can search on Yahoo! as follows:

birth certificate + state department + (state in which you were born)



and follow the instructions given.
