How easy is it to change a birth certificate issued in Hawaii?
Thomas Beattie (the pregnant man) managed to have his birth certificate changed. Can a birth certificate really be changed? Isn't it just amended with the amendment attached to the original?|||It depends on the state and the reason. I believe Hawaii actually changes the birth certificate, although I wouldn't swear by that. Other states - California, for instance - simply issue a document that's more or less stapled to the original.|||Ask the President Elect.|||Obviously it is possible. And I believe that when individuals go through reassignment surgery and become the opposite sex officially they are then able to change their gender on their birth certificate to reflect this change. It only makes sense. |||Definitely ask Hussein Obama. He's the expert.
