How do I file for a birth-certificate replacement when the Air-force base I was born in is now a college?

Is a birth-certificate from the Military different from the states? Is there a different form to fill out for replacement than State website? I have a copy of my social and Driver's License.





My birth-certificate is lost. Hopefully destroyed in the process.|||The military has the same reporting requirements as civilian hospitals. The State website would work just fine, but if you'd rather talk to a person, you need to contact the Office of Vital Statistics in the county in which you were born. Even just calling the County Courthouse will get you transferred to the right office. They'll charge you a small fee...maybe $5 or $10 for a certified copy and they'll mail it to you.|||There's no difference in a military and civilian birth certificate. Contact the county records office in the county you were born. They should be able to direct you to the Birth Records Department.|||Birth certificates are issued by State/County. i.e. My daughter was born at Camp Pendelton but her Birth Certificate was issued by San Diego County.
