I am 20 years old and need a copy of my birth certificate to get an I'd and an SS card. I have no cotact with my parents, no siblings and no I D but a high school diploma how do I get my Birth Certificate?|||Ask someone where the place is that you can buy your birth certificate, you dont need your parents as you are an adult, just go and tell them your name and date of birth, I've done it, they dont even ask for ID|||Go to the county court house, in the county you were born in, the county clerk can give you a cert copy of your birth cert. then go to the Soc. Sec Office and get your SS card, you prob have one and you just dont know it but with some help from Soc Sec Office you can get a copy, Your next step to a State DL or State ID if you do not drive. With all of this done a bank account would be the next thing in order, you will need two ID's of which one must be a photo ID..... it will take some time to get all of this done....|||Go to a courthouse in your state they have integrated all the counties now for most states so they should be able to look you up by your last name. Be sure to call in advance to ask them what type of identification you need to provide to prove yourself. If you don't currently have any form of identification ask them what you may provide. They should be more than willing to help you out.|||You contact the county (or if born in a large city, the city) board of health or records office for where you were born.
They will issue you a birth certificate, no parents needed.
Each will have its own requirements for ID but no matter what your school records will be enough. Just call or check their web site for instructions.
